A lot had been said about Austin’s tallest skyscraper, the Frost Bank Tower, since it opened for business in 2004. The most identifiable mark on the Austin’s skyline, and Austin’s first world-class skyscraper, the Frost bank Tower has been referred to as sleek and gorgeous, a big glass pineapple, a great piece of architecture, and the Fortress of Solitude. This 515-foot tall structure, 119 feet taller thank the second tallest building in Austin, has been sculpted to create a building form that begins at its rectangular base and steps into a square point tower at its crown. According to owners, the tower’s 33 stories includes 524,000 sq. ft., of which 20,000 is retail space. It also houses a 1,500-car garage. Four Frost Bank logo signs were added above the main roof. The logos are 20 feet in diameter, 420 feet above the ground.
