Summerlyn is the north most neighborhood of Leander. Located in Williamson County, the neighborhood is just south of Highway 29 and west of Highway 183 at Seward Junction. The airport closest to the neighborhood is Kittie Hill Airport. The airport is around 15 to 20 minutes away from the neighborhood on Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

The town covers a total of 400 acres with 1,002 lots comprising of homes. There are a few lots that are still empty and the neighborhood is still under construction. Older houses are available for re-selling whereas the new homes are built come with different perks. These include solar panels, keyless entry and home automation. The homes are built by three different builders: Centex, Lennar and CastleRock.

Home prices start at $145,000 and go up to $240,000. The home square feet range from approximately 1,200 to 3,500. The neighborhood features a mandatory homeowner’s association with the fee covering common area maintenance.

The neighborhood was built keeping in mind the need for family time with fun and exciting activities. The homes are spacious with excellent design features.

The neighborhood has a Swim Center Park with picnic tables, bike areas and all weather play area for kids! The neighborhood is close to many lakes and the newly developed Regional County Park. Access to larger cities like Austin and Round Rock is also easy and manageable. The neighborhood boasts of a sense community, beauty, affordability and convenience.

There are many schools near the neighborhood. Plain Elementary, Bill Burden and Bagdad Elementary schools are nearby. Children attend Leander Middle School and Rouse High School for higher education. Parents can also enroll their children in the private schools. It does not matter what school the child goes to, the city has an amazing independent school district.

Since the neighborhood is located in such an ideal area, it allows residents to lead a very hip and happening lifestyle. In Georgetown, which is nearby, Wolf Ranch shopping center provides residents of Summerlyn with amazing shopping opportunities. The neighborhood is also close to an HEB store making it easy to shop for the weekly groceries.
